Gallo Glass Furnace Replacement and Plant Upgrades

This glass factory provides over 95% of the glass bottles to the wine industry in California. It operates 24/7, 363 days a year. Geo-Engineering Solutions was the geotechnical engineer for the replacement of one of 6 blast furnaces and the upgrade of manufacturing facilities at this plant. The geotechnical conditions were challenging due to extensive existing improvements which required attention to adjacent structural loads and potential for destabilizing adjacent foundations. The plant remained active during the upgrades which provided additional constructability challenges. Geo-Eng provided the design engineering as well as construction observation services.
