Geo-Engineering Solutions is the Geotechnical Engineer of Record for this new fire station located in the Santa Cruz Mountains in the city of Los Gatos. This new station is a combination living facility and equipment/training facility for the mountain community of Redwood Estates. This site is very geologically challenging as it is in an area of large regional slope stability and the San Andreas Fault is located approximately 1 mile to the east of the site. We worked with the project team to develop a matfoundation designed to take excessive differential settlement to maintain the viability of this station in the case of an extreme seismic event.
