Geo-Engineering Solutions provided the geotechnical design and construction observations services for this 5-story high density residential development in Belmont, California. The project challenges included groundwater mitigation and shoring of basement excavations. The project construction was further challenged by wet storm conditions which created a need for chemical stabilization of soft subgrade soils. The extensive analysis of the groundwater conditions, Geo-Eng was able to value engineer the design uplift pressures and provide economy to the foundation design.
